Clean Energy Now! An Interfaith Climate March from Grief to Hope with Interfaith Green NJ

1:00pm - 5:00pm
First United Methodist Church

What started as 3 congregations (First Congregational Church, Union Congregational Church, and B’nai Keshet) has grown to fifteen congregations and three community groups interested in working together on issues of climate change. We have a name, Interfaith Green NJ, and have hopes of welcoming groups from surrounding towns.

We are planning an event, a march, “From Grief to Hope,” on Sunday, June 23 at 1pm. We will march from First United Methodist Church (24 N. Fullerton Avenue in Montclair) to B’Nai Keshet (99 S. Fullerton Avenue) with stops along the way at Church Street and First Cong. All are welcome are we process the half-mile route, recite litinites, sing songs, contemplate, and hear a call-to-action. Bicycles and scooters are welcome. Make your own sign! “Clean Energy Saves Lives,” “Clean Air Saves Lives,” “Does Burning Trash Create Clean Energy?” Reach out to the church through Instagram, email the church at contact@unioncong.org, or call the church office at 973-744-7424 to learn more or show up at the day of the march!
