With a constantly evolving lineup of musicians and singers, Parliament Funkadelic released a series of groundbreaking albums in the 1970s, including “Mothership Connection,” “Funkentelechy Vs. the Placebo Syndrome,” and “One Nation Under a Groove.” These albums featured a range of classic tracks, including “Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof off the Sucker),” “Flash Light,” and “Atomic Dog.” Along the way, Parliament Funkadelic became known for their extravagant live shows, which often featured elaborate costumes, psychedelic visuals, and a massive spaceship prop known as the Mothership.
