Succeed2gether’s Montclair Literary Festival and Montclair Story Salon Event

Succeed2gether’s Montclair Literary Festival and Montclair Story Salon invites you to an evening of storytelling, songs, and art on Thursday May 2 from 7:45p.m.

Montclair Story Salon is a bi-monthly storytelling event hosted and produced by actress and Montclair resident Liz Samuel. Filled with stories, songs, and art, this event, in aid of local education non-profit Succeed2gether, featuring local authors and creatives including Benilde Little (Good Hair, The Itch) Laurie Lico Albanese (Hester, Stolen Beauty), Martin Golan (My Wife’s Last Lover, One Night with Lilith), Caytha Jentis (playwright and screenwriter), and musicians Scott E. Moore and Nicole Bozzuto. Art by Merrie Koehlert.

Tickets to the Story Salon cost $35 and include the event and light refreshments. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., with the event scheduled to start at 7:45 p.m. Come early for a drink and mingle with the performers before the event.

This event will be held in Fletcher Hall, Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Montclair, 67 Church St, Montclair, 07042. If you require any special accommodations to attend, please email montclairliteraryfestival@gmail.com before the event.

Liz Samuel is an actress, producer, and writer with credits in film, television and theatre. Recent credits include CBS’ East New York, Apple TV’s Dear Edward, and the upcoming feature film, Men of Divorce. Liz created the award-winning series, MOMTRESS, a semi-autobiographical dramedy about juggling parenting, aging, and an acting career. She hosts and produces Montclair Story Salon, a bi-monthly storytelling fundraising event. This event is co-produced by Succeed2gether and Montclair Story Salon. All proceeds from this event go to non-profit Succeed2gether, which offers free after-school one-on-one tutoring and enrichment classes with the aim of closing the education and opportunity gaps in Essex County, NJ.
