Jon Anderson is a renowned English singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known as the lead vocalist and a founding member of the progressive rock band Yes, which he co-founded in 1968. Anderson’s distinctive high-pitched tenor voice and his contributions to the band’s complex musical compositions have been central to Yes’s success and enduring popularity.

Throughout his career with Yes, Anderson has been part of many of the band’s classic albums, including “Fragile” (1971), “Close to the Edge” (1972), and “90125” (1983). These albums are celebrated for their intricate arrangements, innovative use of synthesizers, and the blending of rock with classical and electronic music elements.

In addition to his work with Yes, Jon Anderson has pursued a successful solo career, releasing numerous albums that showcase his eclectic musical influences, including folk, classical, and world music. Notable solo works include “Olias of Sunhillow” (1976), a concept album that he wrote and produced entirely on his own.

Anderson has also collaborated with various artists across different genres, including Vangelis, with whom he released several albums as the duo Jon and Vangelis. Their collaboration yielded hits such as “I Hear You Now” and “I’ll Find My Way Home.”

Throughout his career, Jon Anderson’s contributions to music have earned him a dedicated fan base and critical acclaim, cementing his legacy as one of the leading figures in progressive rock.

Following the overwhelming success of their 2023 tour, Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks are continuing their Yes: Epics Classics & More tour into 2024. The set list will contain numerous YES songs from all stages of the band’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame career that feature Jon as their lead vocalist and songwriter. The tour also promises the introduction of new material created by Jon and The Band Geeks.

Jon and the Band Geeks have completed a brand new nine track album called TRUE, set for release in late summer.
